Modi Rules

Finally, the Gujarat poll results are out and it is Narendra Modi ,who has single-handedly fashioned a BJP win against all odds. There are only two kinds of people when it comes to Modi ,those who admire him and those who hate him.Modi was fighting not only with his political opponents and party rebels but also with english media which was vitriolic in its attack. For all his follies ,one cannot wish away the fact that he has given good governance to Gujarat and unlike in 2002 when communal polarization held sway, this time it was not the case and even then he has managed to hold fort and that too in style.
Of all the people that Mr.Modi would be thanking for his victory ,the biggest thanks should go to Sonia Gandhi for terming him "Maut Ka Saudagar" and in the process giving him a handle to beat the Congress to bits. The ill advised rhetoric backfired and went a long way in consolidating pro-Modi voters.Another blunder was to project the terrorist Shorabuddin as some kind of martyr and his killing as an example of targeting of Muslims.Even Muslims would have taken umbrage at this line of reasoning where a dreaded terrorist was turned into an icon of sorts.Despite losing badly to Modi led BJP ,there was no let up in the show of sycophancy by Congress leaders who blamed everything under the sun except for "Madame".

yes you are right..even though media played a major role in previous elections, this time it totally failed .failed to even get a common man's view, who supported BJP.I am actually bloody totally surprised.the way barkha dutts, sardessais were lashing out modi and BJP,now it looks like it was a biased news/views.I mean, there must have been some development or reforms done, which made people of gujarat to vote for modi rather than getting inspired by his emotional speeches because these emotional blackmailing was already going on in media against modi.people chose to listen to modi than media(which rules the masses).
i think now media needs to open their eyes and get into the situation before reporting a news, the way they digg into abhishek/aish weddings or they way they report page 3 personalities.

yup, the media was hell bent on projecting their outlook of Narendra Modi and the work done by his govt.,when MR Modi started his campaign on development plank ,it was the same media which repeatedly tried to resurrect the ghost of 2002 ...wht hppnd in 2002 cannot be justified in any case but the media and the pseudo secularists(read communists) suffer from selective memory,no tears are shed for Kashmiri Pandits who hv been the victims of worst form of genocide ,is just a case in point.
and regarding the objectivity of media ,especially the news channels ,the less said the better...there is absolutely no distiction between news and entertainment programmes, totally driven by commercial interests...high time some kind of self censorphip mechanism is put in place ...
