On 1st November 2008 at 5 pm the bell tolled at the UPSC examination hall and my tryst with the written part of civil services exam came to an end.It has been a journey of 4 years with its fair share of highs and lows. The euphoria of clearing prelims for the first time and the agony of missing out on clearing mains for the second time in a row.The joy of getting my first UPSC interview call and the heartbreak at not being in the final list. The unconditional support of family and friends and the self-doubt that arose from time to time. All in all it has been an adventure full of promise and ripe with uncertainties.I am glad that i got the opportunity to pursue my dream of joining civil services ,whether the dream materialises or not remains to be seen. Here's hoping for the best and keeping fingers crossed.

A man should always dream high and u did that... Moreover, some of us even fear to dream what you did. So, always have the feeling that you did a very decent job. About success and failure they are the momentary result which gives you either joy or sorrow. But, the thrill, learning, enjoyment that you had in these four years is more than getting an engineering degree... So be proud for what you did.. All the best, success may not be in the form of being IAS it will come in other form....
GOOD LUCK
@ashim ...thanx yaar for the encouraging words ... i have tried n i got an opportunity to do what i really wanted to do ,now its destiny ,i m glad i tried :-)
all the best :)
of course it does matter whether you make it to the elite list or not but if you don't...hell you gave it your best shot right? let's just say that you chose to think differently....if you don't get it and if you get it then they chose to see it through your perspective..ya? anyway, it has been a arduous journey for you but i am sure the experience has been worthwhile. sit back and relax.
