Mumbai Meri Jaan !!!

This movie deserves to be seen at least once by anyone who resides in a metro city ,as it holds a mirror to the metro life.Though the movie showcases Mumbai and its spirit,i could relate to movie as a Delhiite as well. The movie showcases the 'rich brat' syndrome, communal stereotyping, insensitive media, policemen and their compulsions etc.And all of this is shown without being preachy at any point .The movie leaves one with hope that all is not lost and if all of us make a small effort to understand 'the other' maybe the difference of opinions can be sorted out without any recourse to violent means.Media guys will do well to watch this movie and just for once introspect that what the public supposedly is interested in may not be in 'public interest'.

i haven't watched this particular movie but i get what you are trying to say. it's very true that people have become so stereotype and tend to stereotype others as well. but we as human beings should always strive to grow and evolve. if we give each other enough space i'm sure we can move towards a much more tolerant and understanding societal norms. good to see you write on such a topic. moreover journalism is losing it's true meaning and commercializing even news(e.g. live & exclusive)that are supposed to be devoid of any drama and partiality. hope we still have some good journalists.

@ Anonymous ... :) i can sense a social scientist speaking/writing ...
we jump to conclusions rather than thinking about a situation rationally and taking into account other person's perspective which might be different from ours n they might have a equally valid ground for holding onto those beliefs..it won't solve the problem but a beginning wud be made nevertheless ... watch Mumbai Meri Jaan ,a really nice movie ,u wil like it :)
