Hor(r)orscope ???

Astrology is a science to some and an art to deceive people for others. But the fact remains that most of us do read the weekly/daily astrological predictions in newspapers.Well ,i read the weekly horoscope as it appears in TOI and also the astrological prediction in 'The Week' magazine.Now, few weeks back my astrological prediction was something on these lines :
1.You are going to have trouble with office matters - and since then i am having the rough end of the stick as far as official matters are concerned.
2.You are going to be a source of motivation for others - and as a matter of fact now a days i am motivating youngsters who want to take up civil services exams etc.
3.Thirdly it hinted at some romantic liaisons which seems to be the only area where the prediction seems to be failing(unfortunately) !

if they had said something like- your taste buds won't be feeling good, there will be tension at your home, you'll find some friends moving away from you etc etc and etc, you'd find most of them as true coz these are the things that happens with most of the people most of the times. if they'd predict something like- somewhere in the afternoon your boss will come to your room and tell you personally that you are being given a bigger AC room with swivel chair, then i'd truly believe any goddamn astrologer. but as of now i remain truly a non-believer. thank you.

@anonymous ... what u hv stated is quite true,and psychologists have a name for it "Barnum Effect" which says that if u give a general description to a person of himself/herself ,the person will readily believe it in most cases ... :)

@Chakoli ... i would like to believe so :)

i read linda goodman and in the end it seemed like she said the same thing for all the signs with changing a word here and there.....the question is why are some astrologers good(read as famous)and some have to go for home-to-home service? i guess it's the marketing one does....
till now all the major predictions that we have heard from all the great astrologers, visionaries have failed to make any non-believer like me believe. rest i think is just playing along with the game they play coz we have nothing better to do.
